2.10. Disable an add-in
Some add-ins can cause trouble with normal operation of Outlook, such as causing email messages to be sent multiple times. Known problem add-ins are Plaxo, Xobni, Symantec Anti-virus, and iTunes.
You can disable these add-ins from within Outlook. Here's how:
- Open Outlook 2003
- From the Tools menu, choose Options
- Click the Other tab
- Click the Advanced Options button
- Click the COM Add-Ins button
- Determine whether any third-party (non-Microsoft) add-ins are present in this list
- Deselect the checkbox for each third-party add-in in this list
- Click OK.
